La Jolla
A brief moment in the sun...
La Jolla, with some of Southern California's most beautiful coastline, is considered by many to be the jewel of San DiegoI recently had the opportunity to visit San Diego (in CA, USA) for a quick weekend. This was the first time that I had been all the way to the coastline on the western half of the US, so I wanted to take the opporutnity to see the Pacific Ocean.
After some consultation with a search engine, I landed on La Jolla. It’s often billed as the most photographed beach in Southern California, so I was excited to be able to shoot a little bit of film and make some memories.
After driving about 30 minutes to the beach, I realized that the bag with my camera in it was back at the hotel - and yet somehow I wasn’t surprised. While it would have been nice to get some film shots of the coast, it wasn’t the primary reason for going to the beach, though - so it was what it was.
I got to spend a couple of hours sitting on the rocks and with my feet in the waves, a lot of it just in quiet reflection, and just a dash of nostalgia, reminiscing about sitting on the seabreak in the Atlantic.
I did remember to take a few photos with my phone camera - so they’re here in this post. There are also a few on my Pixelfed account if you’re so inclined, but don’t expect a lot of updates over there.
